KAIST developed a cellular data offloading system that maximizes Wi-Fi utilization (YTN Science, 2015-04-20)

Prof. KyoungSoo Park and his research team in KAIST EE has developed a mobile network platform that supports transparent switching between the Wi-Fi network and 3G/LTE to maximize Wi-Fi network usage.


mTCP won USENIX NSDI ’14 Community Award

Our paper “mTCP: a Highly Scalable User-level TCP Stack for Multicore Systems” received the Community Award in NSDI 2014.


KAIST developed the world’s best intrusion detection system (JoongAng Ilbo, 2012-09-05)

KAIST announced that Prof. Kyung-Soo Park and Prof. Yung Yi of the Department of Electrical Engineering in KAIST have developed Kargus, a software-based network intrusion detection system that can perform tens of Gbps performance on general-purpose servers in collaboration with Bae Byung-chul, team leader of theNSRI.
